Popular dance choreographer Shaik Jani Bashi, renowned as Jani Master, has been facing serious allegations of sexually assaulting a 21-year-old female colleague. In response, the police have filed a zero FIR against him.
Going into the details, according to a report by The Hindu, the 21-year-old female colleague, who is a female choreographer, made sexual allegations and complained to Raidurgam police in a statement that says, “Jani Master has sexually assaulted her multiple times during their shoots in various cities, including Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai. She also claimed that he also assaulted her at her residence.”
The case was initially registered as a zero FIR at Raidurgam police and later transferred to the Narsingi police station, as the victim is a resident of Narsingi. The police have been currently investigating the case and will reveal the details further.
Police revealed that Jani Master was booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including section 376 (rape), section 506 (criminal intimidation), and section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt).
This is not the first time Jani Master has faced accusations. Earlier, in June, Satish, a dancer, filed a complaint against him, alleging harassment and claiming that Jani Master was preventing him from securing work in film shoots. Jani Master, however, refuted these allegations in a press conference.
He was also sentenced to six months in prison in 2019 by a local court in Medchal, Hyderabad, for a brawl at college in 2015.
