YV Subba Reddy Proposes Extending Hyderabad as Joint Capital

Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Amaravati: It’s been a decade since the division of united Andhra Pradesh. In 2014, Hyderabad was designated as the shared capital for a period of 10 years, and now that deadline is fast approaching. Against this backdrop, YSRCP leader YV Subba Reddy has weighed in with intriguing remarks.

“We believe that Hyderabad should remain the common capital for some more time for the state’s benefit,” expressed YV Subba Reddy, suggesting it would be prudent to maintain Hyderabad as the joint capital until the construction of Visakhapatnam’s capital is completed. Post-elections, the Chief Minister and YSRCP leadership will delve into this matter further. Reddy criticized the TDP for stalling capital construction for five years under the guise of temporary measures.
