YSRCP’s Vijayasai Reddy Lodges Complaint with Election Commission

Wednesday, September 18, 2024

Amaravati: The YSRCP has officially filed a complaint with the Central Election Commission (CEC) against the Jana Sena party, opposing the allocation of a common symbol to the unrecognized Jana Sena. Emphasizing that Jana Sena is not a recognized party, the YSRCP has brought to the attention of the EC the alleged permission granted to an unrecognized party. The YSRCP contends that according to the law, a party not recognized should not be assigned the same symbol in two consecutive elections.

MP Vijaysai Reddy has stated that the complaint addresses six specific issues. Vijayasai Reddy highlighted a complaint by an individual named Koneru Suresh, alleging that over 10 lakh votes were fake. He questioned how an individual could identify bogus votes when it is the responsibility of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to address such concerns. Dismissing the complaint as baseless, the YSRCP called for action. He also accused the TDP of deliberately targeting YSRCP voters and stated that a complaint against such individuals has been lodged.
