Amaravati: APCC President YS Sharmila’s criticism of Jagan’s governance prompted a response from AP government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. Sharmila had likened the difference between YSR’s and Jagan’s rule to that between a fox and a nagaloka. Sajjala questioned Sharmila’s motives, highlighting her past support for Jagan, including a 3,200-km padayatra. He expressed confusion over Sharmila’s shift from criticizing the Congress to joining the same party.
Sajjala defended Sharmila’s appointment by the Congress high command, attributing it to her being YSR’s daughter and Jagan’s sister. He accused Sharmila of attacking the YSRCP since taking charge and questioned her silence on issues like attacks on Christians in Manipur during her YSRCP presidency. Sajjala suggested that Sharmila, influenced by TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, lacks an understanding of AP politics. He reminded Sharmila of the Congress’s past attempts to thwart Jagan’s political journey, questioning her selective memory.
