The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has confiscated 25,000 kg of narcotics in Visakhapatnam. TDP leaders are asserting that YSRCP leaders are implicated in this matter. In response, YSRCP leaders have filed a complaint with the state’s chief electoral officer, urging action against Chandrababu’s allegedly false tweet. Former minister Perni Nani, addressing the media, accused Chandrababu of making baseless allegations against the YSRCP without knowing the specifics of the companies involved in the drug trade.
He criticized Chandrababu for speaking out before the CBI provided any official statements. Nani claimed that Chandrababu’s relatives had connections with these companies and called for an investigation by the Election Commission against Chandrababu and Lokesh. Nani referenced Chandrababu’s past association with a Singapore minister who is now in jail, highlighting Chandrababu’s history of involvement with international mafias. He accused Chandrababu of prioritizing politics over principles and urged the EC to prevent TDP from distributing drugs for votes.
