YSRCP Leaders Press Meet After Complaint To AP Governor On Violence In AP Elections Polling

Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Former minister Perni Nani has stated that the YSRCP government will return to power after the 4th of next month and warned that action will be taken against officials who act in a partisan manner. A delegation of YSRCP leaders, led by Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, met with the Governor to lodge a complaint about the post-poll violence in Andhra Pradesh, urging action against those responsible.

Following the meeting with the Governor, Nani addressed the media, alleging that the BJP-TDP alliance deliberately brought in Deepak Mishra for the elections in AP, resulting in significant disruptions. He claimed that Chief Minister YS Jagan has already instructed party cadres in violence-affected areas to exercise restraint.

Nani accused Deepak Mishra of meeting with retired TDP sympathizers and threatening district SPs since his arrival in Vijayawada. Despite the completion of polling, Mishra has not left AP, continuing his efforts to influence the authorities. Nani emphasized that they have informed the Governor of these issues and requested the appointment of a serving officer to replace Deepak Mishra to ensure impartiality in the election process.

CM Jagan has assured the party rank and file that action will be taken against those engaging in violent acts. The YSRCP leaders reiterated their concern over Mishra’s actions, insisting that the Governor take measures to address the situation and uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
