New DElhi: A day after her induction into the Congress party, YS Sharmila expressed her readiness to undertake any responsibilities assigned to her by the party’s high command. Following a meeting with Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge at his residence in the national capital, Sharmila shared her willingness to take on various roles within the party. She highlighted that discussions had taken place regarding potential responsibilities, and she affirmed her readiness to fulfill them.
Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and daughter of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, had officially joined the Congress on Thursday. The merger involved her party, YSR Telangana Party, becoming part of the Congress. The induction ceremony was overseen by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, with the presence of Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders, including the organization’s general secretary, KC Venugopal.
