Eluru: YS Sharmila, the AP Congress president, embarked on a tour of the Denduluru constituency in Eluru district, where she addressed a gathering. She questioned the achievements of Chief Minister Jagananna during his tenure, criticizing his alignment with Delhi leaders and urging him to assert himself against the BJP. Sharmila raised doubts about Jagananna’s supposed strength, questioning whom he truly represents and suggesting that his allegiance lies with social media rather than tangible actions.

YS Sharmila called on Jagananna to confront the BJP instead of appeasing them, labeling those who fail to do so as traitors of Andhra Pradesh. Sharmila likened the relationship between Jagananna, Chandrababu, and the BJP to a “triangle love story” ahead of the elections, accusing them of competing to form an alliance with the BJP.

She criticized Chandrababu for not demanding special category status for the state as a condition for alliance, accusing him of being akin to a BJP worker. Sharmila highlighted the failure of both Jagananna and Chandrababu to advocate for special category status after winning elections, characterizing them as submissive to the BJP’s interests.
