Jagan Assures YSRCP Activists: “We Have Not Truly Lost”

Sunday, December 22, 2024

YSRCP chief YS Jagan held a significant meeting with party leaders and activists, reflecting on the recent election results. Despite implementing numerous welfare schemes, the party faced an unexpected loss. Jagan likened the surprising results to Shakuni’s magical dice from the Mahabharata and expressed regret over the outcome. However, he urged party members to remove the feeling of defeat from their minds, emphasizing that they have not truly lost given the good they have done in every household.

Jagan acknowledged a 10 percent decrease in YSRCP’s vote share compared to 2019 but expressed confidence that those who switched their votes will soon recognize Chandrababu Naidu’s deceptions. He believes that over time, the people’s affection for YSRCP will grow, and by 2029, the party will return to power with renewed enthusiasm. He emphasized the need to reach out to people directly, leveraging his own stamina and commitment to fight for closer connections with the public.

Addressing the party’s current position, Jagan highlighted their reduced strength in the Assembly but pointed out their strong presence in local bodies, which prevents a no-confidence motion for four years. He reassured activists that the law supports them and that even if attempts are made to change the law, the courts will not agree. Jagan pledged to reassure and support every worker who has faced difficulties, emphasizing the importance of protecting every activist holding the YSRCP flag.
