Kannada star Yash recently shared insights into the challenges he faced at the beginning of his career. Speaking at the trailer launch event of Manada Kadalu, he revealed that several filmmakers perceived him as arrogant, resulting in missed opportunities.
“When I entered the industry, I worked hard to establish myself as an actor and aimed to make the most of every opportunity. I would ask directors for a complete script before committing to a project, which some did not appreciate. As a result, I was labeled as arrogant. My only question was—how could I trust a story and sign a film without reading the script? Due to this, I lost many opportunities,” Yash explained.
He credited producer Krishnappa for supporting him during difficult times and director Shashank for offering him a well-defined role in Moggina Manasu, which marked his debut as a lead actor. Yash, who hails from a middle-class background, moved to Bengaluru at the age of 16 and initially worked in theater before transitioning to television and films.
His career took a significant turn with KGF (2018), which propelled him to pan-Indian stardom. Yash is currently working on Toxic and is also involved in the production and acting of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
