Manchu Vishnu’s ambitious mythological drama ‘Kanappa’, which is eponymously titled after the devout follower of Lord Shiva, is getting bigger with every update about its star-studded casting. The makers have already roped in a host of renowned pan-India actors like Prabhas, Kangana Ranaut, Shivaraj Kumar and Mohan Lal to name a few.
Now, there is a strong buzz that the team is planning to bring Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi on board for a cameo role. Manchu Vishnu’s father Mohan Babu maintains a good rapport with Chiranjeevi. Though there were some differences between them a few years ago, both Chiru and Mohan Babu buried the hatchet and came together for various occasions in recent times.
So, there are strong chances that Chiru might say yes if Vishnu wishes to cast him for a brief role in this magnum opus which is being made on a massive budget. As of now, this news is just a grapevine that is making rounds all over the film nagar. The makers are tight-lipped about this interesting development.
Chiru’s addition to the ensemble cast will only make the project bigger because stars from different industries are already part of it. Chiru’s cameo will create more buzz for the film in Tollywood. Will he join the ensemble case is a big suspense until an official announcement.
Acclaimed director Mukesh Kumar, who is known for directing crowd-pleasing television serials like Mahabharata and Dharam Veer, is calling shots for this film. Vishnu wants to make a strong comeback with this dream project. So, he is pulling all the stops to make it a memorable one in his career.
