What is wrong in doing Remakes ? : Chiru

The pre-release event of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Bholaa Shankar was held in a grand style in Hyderabad. Massive crowds turned up for the event and the core team graced the occasion. Allu Aravind, Bobby, Buchi Babu, Gopichand Malineni, and Vamshi Paidipally attended the event as chief guests.

Chiranjeevi started his speech in a typical style by expressing his deepest gratitude to his fans who supported him all through his journey in the film industry. He said the love showered by his fans is the driving factor for his energy levels in all his films.

Chiru recollected a dialogue from Khaidi No 150 – ‘Naaku Nachithene Chestha’ ( I will do it if I like it) and questioned what is wrong in doing remakes when we are bringing a good film to our Telugu audience. He said Vedhalam is a very nice film but didn’t release it on OTT platforms. Chiru said he immediately okayed the script when Meher Ramesh and Anil Sunkara came up with the idea.

Chiru expressed complete confidence in the output. He said the team had hit vibes from the very beginning of the shoot and there was full josh on the sets due to the presence of many side actors.

Chiru made interesting remarks that the industry doesn’t belong to any single person. He said young talent is flourishing like never before in Tollywood. Many new generation actors and other artists are making a mark with their talent in various segments of the film industry.

Chiru appreciated fight masters duo Ram – Lakshman for composing impressive stunts in this film. He also lavished praises on DOP and art director. Chiru thanked Mahathi Swara Sagar for composing foot-tapping tunes.

Chiru made humourous comments about Keerthi Suresh and addressed her as Mahanati. His funny dialogues on her received huge applause from the audience. He also appreciated Tamannaah for her energetic performance in the film.

Talking about Meher Ramesh, Chiru said he never tried to pull strings with his background and always thrived on his hard work. He said Meher did a fine job with his direction. Chiru praised Anil Sunkara for his passion towards producing films. He concluded by saying that Bholaa Shankar will be another Waltair Veerayya at the box office.

Bholaa Shankar is slated for release on August 11th.
