After facing a few setbacks at the box office, actor Vishwak Sen is switching gears and stepping behind the camera with his ambitious directorial venture Cult. The film was officially launched today in Hyderabd.
In a refreshing move, Vishwak Sen will be acting in Cult. And he’s introducing 40 debutantes, promising to inject new energy into Telugu cinema. The concept poster released at the launch has already sparked curiosity—with its striking image of a goat mask set against a backdrop of wild celebration, hinting at a bold and gritty narrative.
Cult is written and directed by Vishwak Sen himself and is being produced by Karate Raju and Sandeep Kakarala under the banners of Tarak Cinemas and Vanmaye Creations. Adding to the project’s appeal, acclaimed filmmaker Tharun Bhascker has written the dialogues, while Ravi Basrur is on board as the music composer.
Though shot in Telugu, Cult is being made as a multilingual release and will also be on the screen in Hindi, English, Japanese, and Spanish—showing Vishwak Sen’s intentions to go global. The makers are expected to reveal more exciting updates about the film’s cast and plot in the coming days.
