Vishnu’s Kanappa to be a star-studded affair

Tollywood actor Manchu Vishnu, who failed to score a decent box office hit in the last decade, is now coming up with an ambitious project titled Kanappa. The period drama traces the life history of Bhakta Kanappa, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. After it was launched in a grand manner last month in Hyderabad, the magnum opus has been in the news quite often.

Keeping aside the fact that Kanappa will be made on a staggering budget, there are many other reasons why it has been the cynosure of everyone ever since its launch. Firstly, Manchu Vishnu announced that it will feature notable actors from different film industries. Secondly, it will boast renowned technicians from different parts of the globe.

Vishnu started to use all his influence and rope in prominent actors to make his dream project a star-studded affair. He has signed up Prabhas and Nayanatara to reprise Lord Shiva and Parvati roles in this film. Now, legendary actor Mohan Lal has agreed to come on board for a significant character.

As per reports, some more popular pan-India actors will also join the cast. Vishnu plans to make this a visual extravaganza with remarkable production values. The story is penned by Tanikella Bharani, VV Vijayendra Prasad, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna and others. Sai Madhav Burra will pen dialogues.

Acclaimed director Mukesh Kumar, who is known for directing crowd-pleasing television serials like Mahabharata and Dharam Veer, is going to wield the megaphone for this project.
