Amaravati: Former Vinukonda MLA Makkena Mallikarjuna Rao has officially announced his departure from the YSR Congress Party. In a meeting with his supporters today, he shared his decision to bid farewell to the party and assured them that the future course of action would be revealed soon. Despite not securing a seat in the upcoming elections, Mallikarjuna Rao urged his followers not to be disheartened, promising unwavering support from him.
Disappointed by not receiving a signal from CM Jagan about an allotted seat, he has refrained from participating in YSRCP activities in his constituency recently. Hopes of clarity on his candidacy were dashed when his name did not appear in the recently released sixth list of YSRCP candidates, prompting him to formally announce his departure from the party in the presence of party workers.
