National Award-winning director Pandiraj and acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi have officially reunited for a new project titled Thalaivan Thalaivi, which is scheduled for theatrical release on July 25. The film, produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, is positioned as a family entertainer and features Nithya Menen in the lead role opposite Sethupathi.
The collaboration marks a significant development, as Pandiraj revealed that he and Vijay Sethupathi had earlier decided never to work together again due to creative differences. Speaking at a recent promotional event, Pandiraj shared that the two had a change of heart after meeting unexpectedly at director Mysskin’s birthday celebration. During the interaction, Sethupathi reportedly expressed his interest in working together again, which set the stage for their renewed collaboration.
Following the conversation, Pandiraj began developing the script for Thalaivan Thalaivi, firmly believing that Vijay Sethupathi was the ideal choice for the lead role. The director narrated the story to Sethupathi in just 20 minutes, after which the actor immediately agreed to take on the project.
The film’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with the makers confident that the soundtrack will be one of its key highlights. Described as a wholesome family entertainer, Thalaivan Thalaivi aims to cater to a broad audience, particularly during the post-summer holiday season.
