Vijay Devarakonda returns as lover boy

Tollywood heartthrob Vijay Devarakonda is set to return as a lover boy in his upcoming film Kushi, a romantic entertainer set in the backdrop of Kashmir which is helmed by Shiva Nirvana of Ninnu Kori fame. After traversing multiple roles ranging from daring and dashing to intense in his recent films like NOTA, Taxiwala, Dear Comrade, and Liger, Vijay will soon be seen in a boy-next-door youthful and refreshing character.

The last time when Vijay appeared in a soft and lovely character was in Geetha Govindham. His charming and innocence-laden character in this romantic drama struck a chord with the audience. The film emerged as a box office blockbuster. He is now returning to a similar character with Kushi in which he will be seen as a kind, polite, and doting husband. It will be a complete departure from what he essayed in his recent outings. The Arjun Reddy actor wants to make a strong comeback after experiencing a series of forgettable films.

Kushi stars Samantha as the female lead. The filming is back on track after a prolonged hiatus following her unavailability due to some health issues. The makers have locked September 1st as the release date. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling the film and Hesham Abdul Rahman is composing the tunes.
