Tollywood actor Vijay Devarakonda was questioned by the ED for 12 straight hours regarding the funding of his recent release Liger. The Arjun Reddy actor was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday and was grilled about the film’s funding and payments.
Reacting to this, Vijay Devarakonda said- ‘By getting popularity, there will be a few troubles and side-effects. It was an experience. And it is life. I did my duty when I was called. I came and answered the questions. They did not call me again.’
It is known that the film’s director Puri Jagannadh along with the film’s co-producer Charmme Kaur were also questioned by the ED earlier this month which created a major buzz on social media.
Speaking about Liger, the film starred Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. Directed by Puri Jagannadh and jointly produced by Puri Connects and Dharma Productions, Liger also featured Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy and others in key roles.
Apart from the lead cast, Liger also starred the American known boxing champion, Mike Tyson, in an extended cameo.
Shot and released in Hindi and Telugu, Liger was grandly released in August of this year. The film has failed to hold any collections and emerged as a box office bomb.
