Nithiin and Sree Leela teamed up for the second time for the upcoming action thriller ‘Robinhood’. Directed by Venky Kudumula, the film also marks the second collaboration between him and Nithiin. Slated for a worldwide theatrical release on December 20, the film is currently in production.
Director Venky Kudumula recently shared a teasing video of his film’s main leads, Nithiin and Sree Leela, on his Instagram, giving fans a humorous glimpse of their beloved actors. Using an aging filter, the clip shows Nithiin and Sree Leela with dramatically old appearances.
The video features Nithiin’s aged appearance with wrinkles and a white beard, and Venky prompts behind the camera, “Robinhood after 25 years,” as Nithiin poses. Then, the camera turns to Sree Leela, who is applying makeup and looks the same even after the filter. Venky quips, “Robinhood heroine,” and playfully teases that she looks the same after 25 years. Sree Leela, pleased with the joke, responds that she doesn’t age, to which Venky humorously counters, “You look so old right now and also after 25 years.”
In his caption, he wrote, “Pulling each other’s leg is our daily routine on #Robinhood sets.. @actor_nithiin anna & @sreeleela14.”
Sree Leela commented that next time she will use the filter on him. Venky responded, “It’s better to drink filter coffee and sleep than use a filter on me.”
When Sree Leela asked why Venky hid his face in the video, he replied, “It’s because I’m always behind the camera,” hinting at his role as the director.
