The Sankranthi outing of Natasimham Balayya, ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ is still going strong despite heavy competition from other releases like ‘Waltair Veerayya’. The movie amazed stunning figures in the career of Balayya and ended up creating new records personally.
The movie which was released on the 11th of this month opened up with a distributor share of 24 crores on its first day. Even though the collections went dull due to the further releases, the movie went strong despite not-so-encouraging reviews and grossed 100 crores after its first weekend. Today the movie completed its first week’s run and the movie collected a distributor share of 71 crores and crossed the full run numbers of ‘Akhanda’ thereby becoming the highest grosser in the entire career of Balayya. In the USA, the movie opened up with 600K dollars just from premiers and crossed the one million mark within three days of its release only to enter the profit zone from its fourth day.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the movie is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers with a lavish budget. Strong emotions, huge action episodes along with the stylish looks of Balayya are pulling the Nandamuri fans to the theaters in repeat mode. Shruthi Haasan romanced Balayya for the first time and Duniya Vijay stood as the lead antagonist. SS Thaman once again gave a peppy album along with a stunning background score for this movie to make it a memorable hit for Balayya and his fans.
