Having created a massive blockbuster with Bimbisara, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is ready to come back with the eagerly awaited sequel. The original, a suspenseful socio-fantasy drama, was directed by debutant Vassishta and witnessed both critical success and box office fame. As such, the hopes from the sequel are sky-high.
But Bimbisara 2 will have a directorial change. Vassishta, who designed the unique world of the original movie, is not going to direct the sequel. The project will be directed by filmmaker Anil Paduri instead.
Elucidating the choice, Vassishta revealed Anil had a notion that was even more powerful and fitting for the second half. “Anil cracked an idea that was better than mine. Kalyan Ram and I felt he was the person who could carry the story forward,” Vassishta explained.
With Anil Paduri officially taking over as the director, Bimbisara 2 is set to begin production shortly. The fans can look forward to a new approach to the story and thrilling follow-up to the fantasy world explored in the initial film.
