Varun Tej’s ‘Operation Valentine’ gets postponed

Saturday, September 7, 2024

In what could be another big setback for Mega hero Varun Tej, who is determined to make a strong comeback after tasting an embarrassing debacle with Gandeevadhari Arjuna, his upcoming film Operation Valentine is likely to be postponed yet again due to various reasons.

Operation Valentine, which marks the debut of Bollywood ad filmmaker Shakti Pratap Singh Hada as director and also Varun Tej’s first pan-India outing, was supposed to hit the screens in December last year. However, it was postponed to avoid a clash with other Telugu films. The makers then locked February 16th as the new release date. As Varun started promoting the film aggressively in the last few days, it was presumed that there wouldn’t be any change in the release date.

But, the latest reports suggest that Operation Valentine is not going to make it to the screens on February 16th due to some production issues. Moreover, the makers are hesitant to take risk and release it during this non-holiday season after seeing the disappointing result of Hrithik Roshan’s latest aerial thriller Fighter. The fact that there is no buzz for the film in Bollywood market also added to the uncertainty of the release date.

An official announcement about the postponement and the new release date is likely to be out in a day or two.

Operation Valentine is billed as a tribute to the Indian Air Force contingent. It has Manushi Chillar as the female lead.
