Varun Tej recently shared insights into his close relationship with Ram Charan and Allu Arjun during an interview, recalling fond memories from their childhood. He emphasized the pivotal role that Chiranjeevi plays in maintaining family unity, citing the weekly Sunday meetings that bring everyone together.
“We all grew up together, and that’s why I share a special bond with Ram Charan. Whenever I face any difficulty, Charan is the first person I think of. As we’ve all become busy with our individual careers, it’s become harder to meet frequently. Sometimes, months go by without seeing each other. However, no matter where we are, we make sure to meet during the Sankranti celebrations organized by Peddananna (Chiranjeevi). Every year, Chiranjeevi celebrates the festival in a grand manner, and those four days are always a time for us to reconnect and enjoy together. Whenever we meet, we reminisce about our childhood. When we were younger, Peddananna used to hold Sunday meetings, which were crucial in keeping our family united,” Varun Tej shared.
Reflecting on their upbringing, Varun added, “No matter how much we’ve grown, Chiranjeevi still treats us like kids. He ensures that we never get arrogant and plays a major role in keeping us grounded. He is the headmaster of our family and an inspiration to all of us. During our childhood, all three of us, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and I, received our share of discipline from him.”
Varun Tej is currently engaged in promoting his upcoming film Matka, an action thriller directed by Karunakumar. The film, in which Varun stars as the lead, also features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. The movie is slated for release on November 14.
