Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is running riot at the North American box office. The Sandeep Reddy directional notched up $ 6 Million in the opening weekend and emerged as a huge blockbuster. Meanwhile, the stupendous domestic numbers are also shocking the trade circles.
Animal opened on a sensational note last Friday with a mind-blowing gross of $ 2.7 Million including Thursday premieres. This is the biggest opening for a Bollywood film of 2023 after Pathaan and Jawan. As the film secured solid reports despite the lengthy runtime and narrative shortcomings, the collections are unstoppable during the first weekend.
On Saturday, Animal extended its dominance and punched out $ 1.9 Million gross from USA and Canada. With a terrific run on Sunday with $ 1.5 million gross, the film screamed past the $ 6 million gross quote effortlessly by the end of the first weekend.
Animal is destined to emerge as the biggest blockbuster in Ranbir Kapoor’s career as it is set to emulate the final run of ‘Brahmastra Part One Shiva’ in North America in the next few days.
Ranbir’s acting masterclass and Sandeep Reddy’s intense story proved to be the selling points for Animal. Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead and T Series Films bankrolled the film.
