Bollywood film Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, took an impressive opening in all territories after its release on January 25th. Despite mixed reports, the film performed exceedingly well during the first weekend. Meanwhile, Telugu blockbuster Hanuman extended its dream run at the box office by shattering more records, thanks to the Republic Day holiday.

In USA, Fighter zoomed past the $ 4 million mark in the first weekend. After a moderate start with $ 565K on its first day, the film gained strong legs as it punched out $ 1.04 million on Friday and followed it up with another sensational haul on Saturday with $ 1.54 million. On Sunday, the film notched up another million dollars gross to take the total collections past the $ 4.2 million mark quite effortlessly.

👉Day1 : $565,140
👉Day2 : $1,045,208
👉Day3 : $1,542,198
👉Day4 : $ 1,000,000 ( approx)
Total – $ 4.2 million

Telugu smash hit Hanuman breached another huge milestone this weekend. The film joined the elite $ 5 million club in style after having a solid weekend. Hanuman is now the fifth Telugu film to enter the prestigious group after Baahubali series, RRR and Salaar.

On Third Friday, Hanuman grossed $ 65K and put on a terrific show on Saturday with $ 142K. With Sunday’s good show, the film surpassed the $ 5 Million mark.

Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram will end up just below the $ 2.7 million mark and will incur considerable losses to its buyers. It grossed less than $ 10K in the third weekend which means the run is almost coming to an end.

Tamil films Ayalaan and Captain Miller also failed to make any big impact in this weekend. While Ayalaan will end well below the $ 500K mark, Captain Miller fails to touch the $ 400K mark.
