Small film Baby, starring Anand Devarakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead roles, is turning out to be a smashing success at the box office in all territories. While the domestic numbers are very impressive, the overseas collections are also promising in the first weekend. By the end of the first weekend itself, the film attained blockbuster status in USA.
As per the latest trade reports, Baby secured a superb weekend with more than $ 350K gross by the end of Sunday. The encouraging word of mouth and good reviews helped the film find decent patronage in USA. After taking a promising start with $ 170K from its first day which includes Thursday premieres. On Saturday, the film performed exceedingly well with more than $ 100K gross to take the tally past $ 270K. As of this writing, the film surpassed the $ 350K mark and is likely to add a few more to its tally by the end of the day.
