Actor and politician Pawan Kalyan is eagerly waiting for June 4th because the results for the assembly elections of Andhra Pradesh will be revealed that day. It is a known fact that he contested from Pithapuram constituency this time. Surveys reports suggest that he is likely to win with a resounding mandate.
Meanwhile, the uncertainty over his upcoming films is likely to be extended. This is because it is unlikely that Pawan Kalyan will immediately return to the sets after the results. If NDA alliance secures power, Pawan Kalyan will surely play a crucial role in forming the government. Moreover, he is most likely to get a significant post in the cabinet and he might get full busy with political affairs for a few more weeks after the results. Hence, his pending films might get more delayed.
In worst case, even if alliance loses in these elections, Pawan Kalyan might need to reassess the reasons for the loss and concentrate on party related activities. This will also badly delay his films. Either way, it is going be a bad news for his producers.
Already, the makers of his much-anticipated gangster drama OG postponed the film indefinitely. There is no clarity on when his long-delayed period drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu sees the light of the day as it has been in the making for more than four years.
Harish Shankar’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh has been put on hold temporarily due to Pawan’s unavailability. A film with Surender Reddy was also announced, but it is unlikely to go on floors in the next one year.
Irrespective of how Janasena party fares in the assembly elections of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan might not immediately give priority to his films. So, his producers stopped waiting for him and shifted attention to their other projects. One thing appears to be certain is that there won’t be any release this year.
