Trivikram keen to follow ‘Bolly villain’ trend for Guntur Kaaram

Of late, Bollywood actors are gaining a foothold in Telugu films. As Tollywood is embracing the pan-India market irrespective of the budget, filmmakers are roping in renowned B-town actors for significant roles in Telugu films. Though this is not a new trend, the influx of Hindi stars in Telugu films has significantly increased in the last few months. Top-league Bollywood actors like Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Ram Pal, Bobby Deol, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, etc. are currently busy shooting for upcoming big-ticket Telugu films.

Now, the latest buzz in the industry circles is that ace filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas is also planning to follow this ‘Bollywood Villain’ trend for his upcoming film ‘Guntur Kaaram’ with Superstar Mahesh Babu. Trivikram has a knack to pull a casting coup for all his films. Though this rustic entertainer is not a pan-India project, Trivikram is planning to rope in a familiar Bollywood actor as the prime antagonist for this much anticipated Sankranti film.

As of now, Trivikram is yet to finalize the name of the actor who will be part of this project. He is considering a couple of well-known actors from Bollywood. He feels that Mahesh Babu’s character in this film is very powerful and assertive. So, a menacing villain will complement the lead protagonist. The suspense on this buzz will end soon, said a close source to the team. We have to wait and see which Bollywood actor will lock horns with Mahesh Babu in this film.

Guntur Kaaram is slated for release in January next year.
