Ever since its release during the wee hours of Thursday, the first look teaser of Prabhas’ much-anticipated actioner ‘Salaar’ has been receiving an overwhelming response from all quarters. The pulse-pounding glimpse has stormed YouTube with millions of views and likes because of the hype surrounding the project among moviegoers.
The electrifying teaser clocked more than 80 million views and 1.6 million likes in less than 24 hours to emerge as one of the most viewed and liked teasers of all time in India. Though it is unveiled only in one language, the teaser managed to draw the attention of audiences in different languages. Even after one day, the teaser is trending at number one place on YouTube. The Salaar juggernaut has truly hit social media after the release of this teaser.
Prabhas’ towering screen presence and the hammering background score rendered by Ravi Basrur elevated the brief teaser to the next level. The dinosaur analogy in Prashanth Neel’s signature-style presentation gave huge goosebumps to the viewers. Though a sense of familiarity struck the viewers because of the KGF hangover, the teaser offered a mass feast to fans of Prabhas.
Salaar is likely to do a stupendous pre-release business in all territories. The makers are currently busy with post-production activities. The theatrical trailer is expected to be out in August and the expectations on the film are likely to be augmented with it.
Salaar stars Shruthi Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy and Jagapathi Babu in significant roles. It is slated for release on September 28th.
