Emerged as the Pongal blockbuster of this year, Varisu aka Varasudu in Telugu is all set to entertain the audience once again. But, this time on the small screen. Yes, you heard it right!
As we know that the popular streaming platform Amazon Prime has acquired the digital streaming rights of the film while the satellite rights were sold to Sun TV.
Now as per the post shared by Amazon Prime Ind, Varisu will premiere on their digital platform from February 22 onwards. Sharing the same on their social media handles Amazon Prime wrote – ‘hold tight because the wait is over! here he comes #VarisuOnPrime, Feb 22 coming soon in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam!’
With this latest update, Thalapathy fans and netizens are eagerly waiting to see their favorite actor on the small screen once again.
Speaking more about Varisu, the film is a bilingual drama directed by the Tollywood filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally. The film starred Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
Apart from the main cast, Varisu also featured Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, R. Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Shaam, Prabhu and others in vital roles. Presented by the popular producers Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, Varisu was grandly released on January 11 of this year coinciding with Pongal, and received mixed reviews from the audiences.
Despite the responses, Varisu managed to collect more than Rs. 300 crores at the box office.
