Tension prevailed in Anantapur after the 48-hour deadline given by Junior NTR fans demanding a public apology from TDP MLA Duggubati Venkateswara Prasad expired. On Sunday morning, Junior fans tried to storm the MLA’s residence again, leading to severe tensions. The city police were alerted after receiving advance information that Junior NTR fans were going to storm the MLA’s residence.
As a result, a large number of police were deployed in the surrounding areas including MLA Daggubati Prasad’s residence. In that order, security was arranged in those areas and barricades were placed on the routes leading to the MLA’s residence. However, when the fans tried to storm, a tense situation arose. An argument broke out between the police and Junior fans.
On the other hand, Junior NTR fans reached the national highway near Guthi in large numbers. They were stopped by the police. They protested demanding that MLA Venkateswara Prasad immediately apologize to Junior NTR. On this occasion, NTR fans warned that if he does not do so, they will besiege the residence of MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad and the TDP office.
If he does not apologize publicly, NTR fans demand that the TDP high command suspend the MLA from the party. Police are checking vehicles everywhere in Anantapur city. Also, the district police apparatus has taken action to prevent any untoward incident from happening anywhere.
It may be recalled that an audio clip of MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad making harsh comments against Junior NTR has gone viral on social media. Due to this, Junior NTR fans expressed their anger against the MLA. They are demanding that Junior NTR apologize immediately.
As soon as the audio was released, angry fans of Jr. NTR surrounded the MLA’s office the same day. The MLA was given 48 hours to publicly apologize to the junior. When the MLA did not apologize even after that deadline, the fans tried to surround his residence once again.
