The Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation has announced that its members will only participate in shoots where producers agree to a 30% wage hike. The decision was made during a general body meeting held on Sunday following prolonged discussions between the federation and the Film Chamber.
Veera Shankar and Syed Humayun have been appointed as chairpersons of the coordination committee to oversee wage negotiations. The federation stated that workers will resume shooting only after receiving official confirmation from producers agreeing to the revised pay structure.
Until then, no federation member will participate in film or web series shoots, regardless of language or location. The move follows the Film Chamber’s offer of a 5% wage increase, which was rejected. Due to the decision, the launch of actor Allari Naresh’s new film, scheduled for Monday, has been postponed.
