The Telugu film ‘Sarkaaru Naukari’ achieved a rare feat by securing a spot in the 2024 Goa International Film Competition, marking a remarkable achievement for the team.
The 55th International Film Festival of India will take place from November 20 to 24 at the Marriott Resort in Goa, gathering numerous films and filmmakers across the world. With its compelling storyline and actors’ strong performances, the film received acclaim for its meaningful content and has been selected for the Goa International Film Festival competition, a well-deserved recognition for the team’s dedication and hard work.
Tollywood’s ace filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao launched renowned singer and voice artist Sunitha’s son Akash Goparaju with this film ‘Sarkaaru Naukari’, which was released on January 1, 2024. Written and directed by Ganganamouni Shekar, K. Raghavendra Rao produced this project under his prestigious production house, RK Teleshow. Akash made his debut with this content-oriented drama, with theater artist Bhavana Vazhapandal as the female lead.
‘Sarkaaru Naukari’ is based on true incidents set against the rural backdrops of Kolhapur in the 1990s. The story follows Gopal (Akash Goparaju), a government employee tasked with raising awareness about HIV and the importance of condom use to prevent AIDS in the village. Upon learning about his occupation, his wife Satya says she will leave him if he doesn’t resign his job. Even though his job affects his relationship, Gopal remains committed to his job.
The film also stars Tanikella Bharani, Madhu Latha, Mahaadev, Sai Srinivas, Sudhakar Reddy, Sammeta Gandhi, Mani Chandana, and others in key roles.
