CM Revanth’s Prediction On How Many Seats BJP Will Win In South India

Sunday, December 22, 2024

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy foresees a challenging road ahead for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in securing support from South Indian voters, predicting they will capture fewer than 15 of the region’s 130 Lok Sabha seats. As the BJP intensifies efforts to expand its influence in the southern states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu in preparation for the 2024 general election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on numerous visits to garner backing. However, Reddy expressed skepticism about the BJP’s ability to garner substantial support from the region.

Reddy, who led his party to a significant victory over the BJP and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in the previous Assembly election, anticipates significant gains for the INDIA bloc, estimating they will secure between 115 and 120 of the 130 seats. He conveyed this perspective while campaigning for the Congress’ Adoor Prakash in Kerala’s Attingal constituency, emphasizing his belief that the BJP’s share of seats across the southern states would be limited to a mere 12-15. Reddy also highlighted the INDIA bloc’s anticipated sweep of all 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala, indicating a formidable challenge for the BJP in the upcoming election.
