Actor Teja Sajja, who is set to appear as a super warrior in the upcoming film Mirai directed by Karthik Ghattamneni, has opened up about his career journey while promoting the film, which releases on September 12.
Speaking in a recent interview, Teja recalled how his career began with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s support. “Chiranjeevi garu always treated me like his own child, and I have immense respect for him. After watching HanuMan, he called me and spoke for nearly 20 minutes, giving valuable advice about my future. During Choodalani Vundi, out of nearly a hundred child artists, it was Chiranjeevi garu who selected me. If not for that, I wouldn’t be here today,” he said.
Teja, who comes from a non-film background, revealed that his family was initially apprehensive about his acting ambitions. “I entered the industry with determination. During Oh Baby, Samantha garu supported me a lot and even promoted me everywhere so people would know my name,” he noted.
Reflecting on his struggles, the young actor said he faced insults, rejections, and betrayals before finding success. “Once, a star director narrated a story to me, and we began shooting. After 15 days, another hero suddenly appeared on set, and I realized he was the actual lead. Later, I came to know that the story had already been narrated to him, and my shoot was only a mock test. Such incidents gave me strength and confidence,” Teja revealed.
Mirai is slated to hit theatres worldwide on September 12.
