Tollywood’s Zombie Reddy made history in Telugu cinema with the advent of the zombie genre. Picking up where it all started during the pandemic, the film was loved by audiences with its Rayalaseema backdrop, quirky satire, and fresh approach to storytelling. This cult favourite is now returning in the sequel which many have patiently awaited.
Director Prasanth Varma will work with Teja Sajja yet again for Zombie Reddy 2. Since the official announcement, there has been high enthusiasm as everyone wants to know how the franchise will be pushed one step further.
With Teja Sajja’s popularity spreading all over India following the success of his recent films, the producers are contemplating the sequel on a much bigger canvas to appeal not only to the Telugu people but also to national and international audiences.
Speaking during the promotions of Mirai, Teja Sajja said, “The sequel will be made on an international scale, but the fun and entertainment will stay the same. Until now, we have viewed international zombie films, but now we will show a zombie film in the Telugu film industry, the whole world will watch.”
With that vision set, Zombie Reddy 2 is now ready to take the Telugu zombie universe to the globe; taking the combined imagination of Prasanth Varma and the national craze of Teja Sajja into account.
