Nandamuri Balakrishna, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate, has officially submitted his nomination papers for the Hindupuram assembly seat in Andhra Pradesh. This marks his third candidacy for the Hindupuram constituency, preceded by special rituals at the Anjaneyaswamy temple in Sugur on Friday. Accompanied by his wife, Balakrishna proceeded to file his nomination papers at the returning officer’s office.
A large rally comprising TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP leaders and supporters accompanied Balakrishna to the RO’s office. Following this procession, he submitted his nomination papers and later addressed the media. Expressing his commitment, he stated, “I am contesting from Hindupuram for the third time. I have dedicated myself to the development of the constituency, earning the trust and affection of its people.”
Balakrishna attributed his political journey to the inspiration he received from his father, NTR. He emphasized his efforts in infrastructural development, including roads, drinking water facilities, and drainage systems across villages. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, he remained accessible to the public and continued to serve during the COVID-19 crisis. Balakrishna also highlighted the provision of free meals through anna canteens as part of his community service initiatives.
