Tamannaah Bhatia’s latest movie, Odela 2, the long-awaited sequel to Odela Railway Station, is ready to debut on OTT. Starring Ashok Teja as the director and Sampath Nandi as the producer, this horror thriller released on April 17 in several languages to get a pan-India release.
Although the movie created a lot of pre-release hype, it failed to live up to audience expectations when it was released. Odela 2 got mixed reviews and performed an average box office, failing to live up to its commercial expectations.
Now, the film is moving into the digital world. Amazon Prime Video has officially announced that Odela 2 will start streaming from May 8. This surprise OTT release has created excitement among fans, who are looking forward to seeing how the film fares on digital platforms.
In Odela 2, Tamannaah takes on the character of an Aghori, delivering an intense and different performance on the screen. Sharing screen space with her are Hebah Patel and Vasishta N. Simha, while Ajaneesh Loknath has composed the music.
Its shift to OTT, as it is, remains to be seen whether or not Odela 2 would engage OTT viewers and generate a new wave of followers in its wake despite its mixed theater response.
