Tamil Star actor Suriya is gearing up for the global release of his highly anticipated film ‘Kanguva’ on November 14, 2024. Helmed by Siruthai Siva, the fantasy period action drama features Suriya in the role of a tribal warrior, alongside Disha Patani as the female lead and Bobby Deol as the main antagonist, with a stellar supporting cast.
Kanguva is set to release in 38 languages, and the film’s promotional activities have begun, particularly more focused in the Telugu states where Suriya has a massive following. Recently, the filmmakers held a pre-release event in Vizag. During the promotional event, Suriya spoke highly of Tollywood’s star heroes, including Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Pawan Kalyan, and Mahesh Babu.
Speaking of Allu Arjun, Suriya showcased the iconic Pushpa signature style, expressing his admiration for the actor’s dance skills and his excitement for ‘Pushpa 2’. Regarding Ram Charan, he said, “He has only starred in 12 to 15 films, but he is already a Global star. I am very happy for his success. He is like a little brother to me, and I am always fond of him.
Suriya spoke fondly of Prabhas, calling him a “Darling” and a “Sweetheart,” and mentioned one of Prabhas’ famous dialogues from ‘Mirchi’. On Mahesh Babu, Suriya reminisced about their shared school days, highlighting Mahesh’s ability to convey emotions through his expressions and praising his onscreen attitude.
Talking about Jr. NTR, he said, “Nobody else speaks with perfect Telugu diction like Tarak. Amazed with his energy and big respect for his Telugu diction.” About Pawan Kalyan, Suriya praised him, saying, “In reel and real, he is the same. Finally, speaking of Chiranjeevi, Suriya shared a touching memory of Chiranjeevi, revealing that when he received the National Award, Chiranjeevi personally called to congratulate him. Suriya said Chiranjeevi is an inspiration for him, stating that he has purchased a home in Chennai and started an NGO after being inspired by Chiranjeevi Garu’s blood bank initiative.
