Kollywood star Suriya is ready to light up the big screen this Dasara with the eagerly awaited fantasy drama Kanguva. The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 10. Meanwhile, Suriya is also busy with a new project directed by Karthik Subbaraj, tentatively named Suriya44.
According to the latest reports, Suriya is in discussions with acclaimed Sandalwood director Narthan for his next project. Narthan recently narrated a script to Suriya, who has yet to give his final approval. The leading Kannada production and distribution company, KVN Productions, will produce the Suriya-Narthan project in multiple languages.
Narthan is renowned for his hit gangster drama Mufti, which starred Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar. The director is currently preparing for the release of Mufti’s sequel, Bhairathi Ranagal, which is a prequel to the original film. Meanwhile, Suriya’s highly anticipated project with director Sudha Kongara is reportedly on hold.
