In the ongoing skill development case, the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted regular bail to TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu, a decision now challenged by the Andhra Pradesh CID in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court bench, led by Justices Pankaj Mittal and Bela M. Trivedi, commenced full hearings on this matter today, following preliminary discussions last month.
During the hearing, CID’s counsel, Ranjit Kumar, informed the court about the filing of a chargesheet against Chandrababu in the skill case and advocated for the cancellation of his bail. Ranjit Kumar highlighted Chandrababu’s alleged violation of bail conditions and his son Lokesh’s reported intimidation of officials using a ‘Red Book’. He cautioned that upon assuming power, they would address individuals named in the ‘Red Book’.
Kumar also mentioned an interim application filed in court regarding this issue. Following the arguments, the Supreme Court bench adjourned the next hearing to May 7.
