Bollywood which is known for Hindi films is one of the oldest and most popular film industries in our country. But in recent times, Bollywood faced a lot of backlash for various reasons including nepotism, making contentless films, and much more.
This outrage took an ugly turn when one set of audiences and netizens created and supported the Boycott Bollywood trend. With this ongoing trend, many high-budgeted films including Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Akshay Kumar’s recent starrer Raksha Bandhan, Ananya Panday’s Liger alongside Vijay Devarakonda and others suffered the wrath under this trend.
As part of the Bollywood Boycott trend, Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan’s new song Besharam Rang (which means Shameless Color) from his upcoming film Pathaan has also received severe outrage from the netizens. Objections were raised over the female lead Deepika Padukone’s orange swimwear in the song.
Now, putting an end to this, Bollywood popular actor and producer Suniel Shetty had a meeting with the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Mumbai, on Thursday. The actor requested the BJP leader to take the matter seriously on this Bollywood Boycott trend.
As we know that Yogi Adityanath was in the city for a two-day visit to Mumbai in order to promote Uttar Pradesh as the ‘most film-friendly state in India’.
Along with Suniel Shetty, many celebrities from Bollywood like Jackie Shroff, Ravi Kishan, Jackie Bhagnaani, Rajpal Yadav, Sonu Nigam, Boney Kapoor, Subash Ghai, and many others also attended the meeting.
