State-Level society Formed For Zero Poverty- P4 program with CM As Chairman, Dy. CM As Vice Chairman

Tuesday, April 29, 2025

The AP state government has accelerated steps to establish a strong system to expand the Zero Poverty-P4 program aimed at eradicating poverty. A state-level society is being formed for the implementation of P4. The Chief Minister will be the chairman of this society and the Deputy CM will be the vice-chairman.

Also, there will be a CEO, a director, a call center, a team of technicians, a program team, and a wing team to connect them. At the district level, the committee will be chaired by the district minister and at the constituency level, the MLA will be the chairman.

The Panchayat Secretary and Ward Administrative Secretaries of the secretariats in the village and ward divisions will look after those responsibilities. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a review at the secretariat on Tuesday on the formation of the state-level society and the progress of P4.

He said that the Collector, Ministers, and MLAs of each district should identify the mentors and ensure that they adopt the golden families. The Chief Minister advised the officials that if the website contains all the details of who the donors are, how much they have given, and how much more assistance the Bangaru families need, the implementation of the scheme will be transparent and confidence in P4 will increase further.

In the review, the officials explained to the CM that the registration of ‘Margadarshi – Bangaru Families’ is being carried out in line with the government’s goal of ensuring that 5 lakh Bangaru families are adopted by August 15th. For this, they said that Milap, Donatecart and Rangde are participating in P4 as players.

They said that P4 has been designed so that donors can adopt families, mandals and villages as well as provide funds. They said that donors have been given the opportunity to provide assistance online to those they want to help financially. They said that the process will start when donors first log in through the P4 platform.

The CM instructed the officials to complete this registration process by August and ensure that it becomes operational. He clarified that an annual progress report on what has been achieved in the past year through the P4 program should be released by the coming Ugadi.
