SS Rajamouli is the most celebrated filmmaker in Asia. After directing films like Baahubali and RRR, his popularity sky-rocketed to a new high and made him a global celebrity. His next target is to make an international film and release in multiple languages across the world. As announced long back, Rajamouli will next team up with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu for a globe-trotting action adventure.
Though this mammoth project ‘SSMB29’ was announced last year, the regular shooting didn’t commence so far due to the extensive pre production phase. Rajamouli usually takes several months for the script work and remaining formalities. He then takes a minimum of two years to complete the filming and other activities. SSMB29 was initially planned to kick off in August this year. However, it got delayed indefinitely due to script and other pre-visualization formalities.
The latest reports suggest that SSMB29 will start rolling early 2025 as Rajamouli hasn’t yet completed his workshop and other works essential to take the movie on to the sets. It is likely that all these activities will take another three months for completion. Moreover, the casting is also not done till now. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu also needs some more time to get into the desired look and shape for the film.
In all probability, the regular shooting will start in the first quarter of 2025. The makers are reportedly aiming for a grand release in 2027. The film will be made on a huge budget of 1000 Crores. It will be a star-studded affair with renowned technicians.
