India’s talented maverick director SS Rajamouli extended his heartfelt congratulations to the 2025 Oscar winners. The 97th Academy Awards were recently held on March 2 at the iconic Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
Rajamouli gave a special shoutout to the American filmmaker Sean Baker for making history as the first filmmaker to win four Oscars in one night. Deeply moved by Baker’s acceptance speech about saving theaters, SS Rajamouli took to X, expressing his admiration: “Congratulations to all the #Oscars2025 winners! Additionally, Rajamouli penned a heartfelt note to one of his favorites, Walter Salles, for bringing its first-ever Academy Award with Ainda Estou Aui (I’m Still Here). He also applauded Fernanda Torres for her powerful performance in the film.
On the professional front, Rajamouli is all set to commence the first schedule of SSMB 29, his much-anticipated globe-trotting adventure starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, with Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumar reportedly joining the stellar cast.
