Creating sequels for successful films has gained momentum in Tollywood. In the current challenging landscape of exploring new stories and character creation, today’s directors see making sequels to their films as a good alternative. In this context, director Srinu Vaitla had considered making a sequel to his film Dhee, which starred Manchu Vishnu, Srihari, Genelia, and Brahmanandam, and was a major success at the time.
However, under the present circumstances, Srinu Vaitla has stated that he has no plans for a sequel to the film. He mentioned, “With the passing of Srihari, who acted in Dhee, I believe no one can replace his character. That’s why I’ve set aside the idea of a sequel. I have no intention of making Dhee-2. Instead, I am focused on delivering entertaining films that surpass that film. My upcoming movie ‘Vishwam’ will also provide entertainment that will captivate everyone.” Nevertheless, reports suggest that Manchu Vishnu is considering making Dhee-2 with another director in Tollywood.
