Vijayawada: In response to recent security concerns, authorities have bolstered the protection of Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by integrating a mobile command control center into his convoy. This vehicle, equipped with multiple surveillance cameras and monitoring equipment to oversee the surrounding area, was introduced to Jagan’s fleet on Thursday.
The decision to introduce the mobile command control center follows a recent stone attack on Jagan during his ongoing bus tour in Vijayawada, which resulted in injuries to the CM. In light of this incident, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has requested a report from the Andhra Pradesh police and instructed the chief secretary and DGP to implement sufficient safety measures to safeguard VIPs until the conclusion of the state elections.
The state police have now deployed this new high-tech surveillance vehicle to accompany Jagan’s convoy. Positioned ahead of the CM’s bus during the tour, the vehicle is equipped with surveillance cameras capturing 360-degree videos in all directions. These cameras are linked to televisions and laptops within the vehicle, allowing a dedicated police team to closely monitor the movements of individuals. This monitoring system enables timely detection of any suspicious activities, facilitating prompt alerts to the CM’s personal security personnel.
