The small-budget film Committee Kurrollu, which became a sensational box-office hit, is now making waves on the awards circuit. At the prestigious South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2025 held in Dubai, the film won two major honors. Debut producer Niharika Konidela received the Best Debut Producer award, while lead actor Sandeep Saroj was named Best Debut Actor.
Released in theatres on August 9 last year, the Yadu Vamsi-directed film achieved both commercial success and critical acclaim. It has also been recognized at national and international platforms, including the Telangana government’s Gaddar Awards, where it won Best Film on National Integration. Director Yadu Vamsi was also honored as the Best Debut Director. The film further secured accolades at the GAMA Awards, with Niharika and Yadu Vamsi winning in their respective debut categories.
Produced under the banners of Pink Elephant Pictures and Sri Radha Damodar Studios on a modest budget of ₹9 crore, Committee Kurrollu has grossed over ₹24.5 crore through theatrical and non-theatrical rights, delivering significant profits to its producers. The film’s music, composed by Anudeep Dev, has also been widely appreciated, adding to the overall success and acclaim of this small-budget sensation.
