Mrunal Thakur stole the hearts of Telugu audiences with her enchanting performance in cult classic romantic entertainer Sita Ramam. She is now one of the most bankable heroines in Tollywood. After Sita Ramam, she signed a film with Natural Star Nani and is currently busy shooting for it. Now, she landed another crazy offer in Telugu.
As per the latest reports, Mrunal has been roped in to play the leading lady in Vijay Devarakonda’s new film that has Geetha Govindham director Parasuram calling the shots. Reportedly, Mrunal pipped both Rashmika and Pooja Hegde to grab this plump offer. Parasuram initially planned to repeat the Geetha Govindham combo for this film. However, he changed his plans as Rashmika expressed her unavailability due to her busy schedule. He then considered Pooja Hegde as the next option for the leading lady’s role. But, the quest finally ended with Mrunal Thakur.
Parasuram felt that the fresh pairing of Vijay and Mrunal will result in a good hype for the project. He designed a similar character to Mrunal akin to that of Rashmika’s role in Geetha Govindham.
Dil Raju will bankroll the film and Gopi Sundar will render the soundtrack.
