Siddu Jonnalagadda Reacts to Controversial Question from Female Journalist

Tuesday, December 9, 2025
Actor Siddu Jonnalagadda has found himself in the spotlight after a female journalist questioned him on a personal topic unrelated to his upcoming film. The incident occurred during the trailer launch event of his new movie Telusu Kada, where the journalist asked, “You acted with two heroines in the film. Are you a womanizer in real life too?” Responding calmly, Siddu said, “This isn’t a personal interview, is it?” The exchange quickly went viral, sparking debate across social media platforms.
During a subsequent press meet held on Tuesday as part of Telusu Kada promotions, Siddu addressed the issue. “Just because someone has a mic doesn’t mean they can say whatever they want. I heard her comment but chose to ignore it then. What could I have said? Journalists should know what kind of questions are appropriate. Just because the hero is an undercover cop in the film doesn’t mean he conducts encounters in real life,” he said.
The actor also reflected on his career journey, citing advice from director Koratala Siva. “He once told me that life is about two experiences — success and failure. I felt that was true. I tasted huge success with DJ Tillu and experienced failure with Jack. While writing and shooting a few scenes in Tillu Square, I found them hilarious, but when the audience didn’t laugh, I realized not everything goes as planned,” Siddu shared.
Meanwhile, Telusu Kada, directed by costume designer Neeraja Kona in her debut venture, features Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty as the female leads. The romantic drama has completed censor formalities and received a U/A certificate. With a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes, the film is set to hit screens this Friday. The censor board reportedly raised objections to a few scenes, prompting the team to make necessary changes before approval.
